The Maine State Library and Maine InfoNet are happy to announce the official launch of a new Single-Search-Box interface for searching the resources of MARVEL!. This new search box, located at the top of the MARVEL! page searches content from across the breadth of the MARVEL! resources and presents them in a unified result list.
The underlying technology that provides this service is powered by the Ebsco Discovery Service (EDS) and is a completely different system than the one that ran the former OneSearch box.
New features include the ability to limit to selected databases and limit results through the use of facets. MaineCat results and Maine and National News results are now highlighted on the results page in their own ‘widget’ interface, rather than in the main article result pane.
