Printing and disseminating Maine InfoNet overdues, bills and fines, and hold cancellation notices

Maine InfoNet notices are printed monthly. There are three types of notices: overdues, bills and fines, and hold cancellation notices. All notices are sent by e-mail or printed.

After notice generation I have the option to e-mail notices that are linked to patron records with e-mail addresses. I have been using this option. The remaining notices are printed. For print notices, the home library of each patron is looked up on the URSUS system. The notice is then placed in an envelope and sent to the patron’s home library for review. If the home library decides the notice is relevant, the notice is sent to the patron.

Statements are sent out once a year in the summer. These are printed and not e-mailed.
