In late 2011 – early 2012 the following libraries undertook an Reclamation Project to reconcile holdings in the local catalogs with OCLC, using OCLC’s BatchLoad Services<\/a>: \u00a0Bangor Public Library (BYN), \u00a0Bates College (BTS), Bowdoin College (BBH), Colby Colby (CBY),\u00a0Law and Legislative Reference Library (LLR),\u00a0Maine State Library (MEA),\u00a0University of Maine, Augusta (AUG),\u00a0University of Maine, Bangor (BAQ),\u00a0University of Maine, Machias (UMY),\u00a0University of Maine, Orono\u00a0(MEU) and University of Southern Maine (PGP, PG2, P8G).<\/p>\n Data exported to OCLC included mainly print materials which contained an 001 (oclc number) field, though occasionally materials were identified to send that did not contain an 001 but otherwise appeared to be valid marc records (e.g. not brief bibs, orders, reserves, etc.) \u00a0Electronic resources and materials marked as lost or missing were explicitly excluded, as were most government documents.<\/p>\n Below is an overview of the results, which included updating over 250,000 oclc numbers.<\/p>\n
